Good typists, especially those who are also excellent at 10-key typing often are the most qualified for data entry positions. Since the data entered is from the medical field, so thorough knowledge and understanding of the medical industry is imparted.
The training consists of the following capsules:
Capsule A: Knowledge of English language and its usage:
Rules regarding punctuation, capitalization, sentence structure, spelling, word division, and using references is stressed. This is a critical element and an initial week of lectures with numerous exercises to apply proper grammar and punctuations is imparted.
Capsule B: Sound knowledge of medical terminology:
Knowledge of medical terms related to anatomy and physiology, clinical medicine surgery diagnostic tests, radiology, pathology laboratory pharmacology and abbreviations in all specialties of medicine.
Capsule C: Keyboarding Skills:
Keyboarding Skills or “touch-typing” is the ability to operate a keyboard quickly, accurately, efficiently, with the correct technique using all the fingers without looking down at the keyboard. Training in KBS makes a person totally comfortable in all the technical aspects of data entry.
Capsule D: Computer Knowledge:
A working knowledge of Excel sheet, Access sheet, Software handling, Zipping, Scanning, Reading an X-ray etc is imparted to facilitate ease in data entry.
DURATION: 2 months, 2 hours a day, 5 days a week.
ELIGIBILITY: 10+2, graduates, postgraduates (any stream i.e. Commerce, Arts, Bio, Maths), unemployed, working executives, housewives, etc. Elementary understanding of English. No prior computer knowledge is required.
